
During his time in the field, his special focus was returning Social Security Disability Insurance recipients to productive employment and returning Workers Compensation recipients to their former occupations or alternative employment. He also used his skills in sign language to specialize in deaf and hard of hearing clients. In addition, Mr. Grophear received in-service and post graduate training in Counseling Psychology, Group Counseling, the Medical Effects of Disability, the Social and Psychological Aspects of Disability, Psychological Stress and Adaptation, Psychological Testing, the Psychology of Career and Personal Development and Adaptive Equipment.
David has also had the personal experience of caring for aging family members. In addition to caring for his father-in-law who suffered from a variety of physical problems, he spent ten years caring for his mother and assisting his uncle as they suffered through progressive dementing diseases.
David is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
